Calgary Airport Tunnel
Calgary City Council today made the decision to not proceed with the Calgary Airport Tunnel. I disagree with this decision, as the Airport Tunnel is necessary for Calgary's future. As the map below will clearly illustrate, without the tunnel, Calgary will face increased traffic congestion and gridlock around the Airport. As well, without the tunnel most of the traffic heading to the Airport will be diverted to Deerfoot Trail leading to increased traffic throughout the city.
